The bell saga, continued

February 2, 2009 – 10:26 pm

After my last post, a whole lot of you people left me comments saying that you wanted to see a video of Bella ringing the bell.  Which seemed like a great idea to me… in fact I had grand visions of this brilliantly edited montage of video after video after VIDEO of Bella ring-ring-ringing the bell, with “you can ring my bell” playing in the background. Hilariously wonderful, right?

Wrong.

Here’s the thing.  Over the past week I’ve spent, oh I don’t know, FIVE HUNDRED MILLION HOURS or so trying to capture the bell-ringing on video.

Here’s just one clip that represents the sum-total of my efforts.

I think I’m going to title it “Bell?  What bell?  I don’t see any bell…” or maybe “AAARRRGGGHHHH!!!! would you just RING THE FLIPPING BELL already?!”

She does ring it.  I promise.

Just not for the video camera.

Aaaaaaaaaaaahahahahahahahahahah! I LOVE it! That’s like Bee anytime I try to take a photo of her doing anything remotely cute. She immediately stops and then screams at me to give her the camera. I know have an entire SD disc filled with images of Baby Bee running toward the camera with outstretched hands…

LOL That’s just like trying to get your kid to show people how smart they are. “Honey, count to 3.” *kid sticks finger in nose* “Honey, show Grandma how you count to 3″ *kid looks at you like you’re stupid”

Bella’s adorable! She looks diff. in the video than she did in her pictures. Pictures didn’t do her justice. And now… I want to steal her. Mwahahaha

Bella’s life purpose on this planet is to make you look like a big liar on your blog. Didn’t you see it in her eye? When she turned her head sideways? Jenny, she’s got your number.

This reminds me of that old Warner Bros. cartoon with the singing and dancing frog that only performs for it’s master.

Bella is so flippin’ adorable! And she looks terribly worried that she’s done something wrong. “Why is mom pointing that funny thing in my face?” That’s Bella talking…

Aaawww! Too sweet! My dog rings a bell too! Same thing..very cool, at first. Now? Not so much. She rings it if the cat is sitting outside the door and wants in. She rings it to get me to feed her. I’m definitely her door (wo)man to put it nicely.

They never perform when you need them to. And you pulled the cat bait. When I say “Kitty Cat” to my pup he gives a the cutest look, except when I have my camera of course.

    Ha ha ha ha !!!

Whenever I try to catch Stinkerbell on video it’s too dark or she’s behind the couch or runs away or whatever… I feel your pain.

Animals have an instinct to stop whatever cute/funny thing they are doing the very instant you point a camera at them.
