Last night I carefully take down all the Christmas tree ornaments and pile them on the couch. Then I unwind the lights and re-wind them around rolled-up magazines.
Tomorrow I’ll box them up. I tell myself, and head to bed.
But this morning when I walk into the living room, I notice an oddly cheerful- festive, even- glow coming from the general tree area.
Sure enough, the lower half of the tree has been re-lit and decorated.

I guess *someone* isn’t quite ready for the holidays to end.

Kudos to you…and to your li’l decorator who needed a few more days of festivity.
We were terrible about getting decorations up in the first place this year so that I am planning on keeping them up for another few days. My husband points to the 12 days of Christmas part of his Catholic youth.
What an enabler! heh!
Happy New Year, my friend.

Oh, that is so cute!
I’ve banned Dawson from touching the tree. I’m too afraid he’ll knock it over, on top of himself.

Well, he did a beautiful job. Are we sure it was the child and not hubby? This seems like something my hubby would do and blame on the children.

It is wonderful that the season holds such magic for him. What an awesome and funny sight to wake up to! And much better than the ornaments in the toilet routine that my guy would have done ;P

We left our Christmas tree from last year out all year. My 4 yre-old loved turning in on and off so much, I just couldn’t take away her joy. I had to throw it away a few weeks ago because the lights had burned out.

That is hysterical, and super cute. Our decorations are still up, so when your mystery decorator is ready to move on to the holidays, I could use some help! :)

Had just larfed my arse off at “OMG SISTER SO DAMN PREGNANT AND SO DAMN CUTE” post and was about to comment on it when I saw this one.
And it is AWESOME.
Also, tiny guitar in background? Yes?

First – you have to love your little one’s zeal for the decorations!
Second – what a great way to keep the lights in order . . . wrapping them around old magazines is brilliant. I had these plastic light-wrap things that broke this year because my 3 and 2 year hold thought it was fun to break them.
