World peace doesn’t have to be so hard

July 11, 2008 – 12:12 am

Tonight after dinner I fix CJ a big bowl of ice cream with hot fudge sauce and sprinkles.

I head back to the kitchen to put away the ice cream.  When I return I find that CJ has stripped off all his clothes and is thoroughly licking the bottom of his bowl.  Chocolate and ice cream are smeared across his cheeks and nose.

I stand and watch this naked display of hedonism, and I can’t help but feel happy.

We could solve a lot of the world’s problems, I think, if everyone spent more time eating ice cream naked.

    Right on!
The world would be a much nicer place if everyone could hold on to just a bit of the innocence of youth. It’s a shame that we as adults pass on all of the bologna that we’ve picked up along the way.
I hope that CJ is able to maintain a bit of the mindless hedonism! Given who his Mom is, I think he might just have a shot.

My daughter will probalbly do this when she is older just out of habit. I hate how ice cream ruins her clothes so I always make her eat it in her diaper :-)

Well in the interest of public safety and retaining vision, I think it best if I don’t eat ice cream in the buff…but please, in hopes for world peace and less laundry (chocolate ice cream doesn’t come out of onesies!), by all means, strip them down and LET THEM EAT ICE CREAM!

Cute story, but I’m pretty sure me eating ice cream in my birthday suit would not lead to peace…for anyone. Nightmares, maybe, but no peace.

Hmmmm… I could handle the naked ice cream eating if I was in the bath tub. As for the kids? They are always in some state of undress anyway… I make them take the sticky goodies into the yard. Hope the neighbors don’t mind. :)

I love this. Doesn’t it just make you laugh at the things that your kids decide to do naked. I love how optional they think clothes are. I tell my son, put your pants on before you go on the deck and he asks “why?” as if it was like running barefoot in the backyard. Actually I have posted some fun action shots of the kids jumping on the bed today … and wouldn’t you know it, they have no clothes on.
