I keep hearing about the amazing wonder that is the Wii Fit. It’s a video game that helps you have FUN while you EXERCISE! Brilliant, yes?!
And yet… something seems a little off about the whole concept.
When I saw this parody on Youtube, it all came together. This spoof is a truly genius take on the actual Wii Fit commercial.
“Wii Fit combines the perfect balance of barely moving and doing mundane things.”
If you’re reading this post in an email, you’ll have to click here to see my video and the other Make Me Laugh Monday entries.
Here’s the deal if you want to join in.
Write about something funny. It can be an anecdote, a joke, a picture, or a link to something funny… whatever. This is a NO PRESSURE scenario. If it makes you chuckle, it’s good enough. I don’t mean to create a stressful IS IT FUNNY ENOUGH type situation, if you know what I’m sayin’. Anyone can participate.
So you write the post. Then come and link it here so that we can all enjoy the funniness.
If you participate, here’s the code to get the fabulous donkey graphic shown above;
And I should think it goes without saying but JUST IN CASE… any links that don’t go to a Make Me Laugh post on your blog will be deleted, promptly.
And one more thing… several of us read these entries with a child sitting in our lap. Please use an exclamation point at the beginning of your link title if it’s not suitable for young eyes. Happy Monday!

Wii are laughing hysterically!
I am excited that I found an alternative to that annoying hula hoop!
Great post :)

Oh my gosh! Loved it! My husband and I can’t wait to play “Get on and get off the little white thing.”

This is great! I don’t “get” the Wii- for exercise? What about actually going outside and running around, playing tag, etc. Too funny. :-)

The hula hoop part made me almost spit my drink out. Hilarious!

Haha that video did make me laugh. Guess no-one actually goes outside to play sport anymore.

Stick out your leg…and when you get tired of that, you can play, stick out your other leg. Very funny. But my favorite is the bit about letting your kids pretend to have balls thrown at their heads rather than actually going outside to play soccer. This is hilarious!

Yeah, that’s what I’m getting my hubby for Father’s Day. I’m sure wii will have some great stories!

That was too funny!
I particularly loved that part about saving $3 dollors by not buying a hoola-hoop!

That is so funny!!
Is it weird after watching that I still want one?

This is hilarious!
I grabbed a Wii Fit the day they came out, but haven’t been able to use it yet (hurt ankle, sickness). My husband, though, is having a ton of fun with it. I swore I wouldn’t tell anyone, lol.

I will admit that I still want one, but that was hilarious! Thanks for sharing it!

noooooooo…it is gone. I can’t see it! ugh. Now I just have to imagine how funny it was and laugh anyway.

Finally have a post worthy of your Make Me Laugh Monday!
We just got the Wii last month and we are officially addicted. We even have a timer by the TV so we don’t go overboard. Pathetic.
Happy Monday!

Awesome!
Its kinda sad and kinda funny all at once.
June 9, 2008 at 3:33 pm
Hilarious! I love the hula hoop money analogy. Lol.

Have you tried it? If you do it how they say to, it’s really a good workout, and fun. It’s nice for those of us who don’t have gym memberships, or kids old enough to play soccer with (or sunshine! :)).
June 10, 2008 at 4:08 pm
That was hilarious! But, I still love mine. While I don’t think I get a great workout, I’m really sore from faux hula hooping.
