Don’t Blink

June 19, 2008 – 3:00 am

Today was CJ’s last day of preschool.

Or, as I so morbidly think of it, the beginning of the end.

How is it that time goes by so fast?

How is it that my little teeny tiny baby is a BIG HULKING five year old?

Blink! he’s walking

Blink! he’s talking

Blink! he’s in elementary school

Blink! Blink! he’s a massive teenager with a chip on his shoulder.

Blink! Blink! Blink! He lives on the other side of the country and NEVER CALLS. I sit at home, alone, and knit.

THE BEGINNING OF THE END, I tell you!

If anyone is looking for me, I’ll be over here in Seattle, trying my darnedest not to blink.

    Awww!

I have really dry eyes, so I have to blink. And yet every single time…

I was depressed realizing that our oldest has less time left with us (9yrs) than he’s already spent with us (10yrs).

Maybe I could prop up my eyelids…

Time flies isn’t it. It’s just a year ago that we have celebrated my son’s first birthday–now he’s going to be 2-years-old soon. Sigh.

And right before I know he’ll be in Kindergarten.

It’s a like a blink of eye, no? Sigh. :)

Ohmygod, this is my greatest fear being a mom of all boys. I hear over and over (and see!) how men don’t stay in touch with their families. Waaaa!

My baby starts kindergarten this year too. where did the time go?

urgh…I know what you mean. It seems like yesterday I couldnt imagine either of my kids driving…I though I would have time to ’stop and smell the roses’ with them…now I have a 15 year wanting to get his permit! Life happens so fast.

My son is at the age to start preschool this fall and I feel like this is the beginning of the end. I just can’t believe it’s time already.

I don’t know how to knit. I’ll have to find another way to pass the time while I wait for my kids to call.

It’s amazing how much they change in such little time.

    It’s scary.

It’s so true, isn’t it? The days go by slowly, but the years add up.
