In honor of Earth Day, I thought I’d write a little ditty honoring this great planet where we live.
When she’ll stop, nobody knows
We hope she’ll keep spinning for quite a while yet
And avoid being hit by a speeding comet
She’s greenish and bluish and surrounded by stars
Also we think she’s way cooler than Mars
One moon, rocky mountains, and a whole lot of trees
although we do wonder what’s up with the bees
She’s majestic, she’s magic, especially the beaches
Which is why people give all those “save the earth” speeches
She’s warming all over
Except where she’s cooling
Did I mention the beaches?
they make me start drooling
Whether or not you think she’s in imminent danger
To responsible conservation, please don’t be a stranger
Cause this awesome planet?
she’s all that we’ve got
and we’d like to keep her from getting real hot.
(except for the beaches where it’s hot a whole lot)
It’s the last day of green giveaways at Seattle Mom Blogs! Stop on by to be entered into giveaways for Georgeously Green, brand-new Method baby products, local Belli skincare products, flushable and biodegradable gDiapers, and Kids Klutter Katchers.
