Make Me Laugh Monday

April 21, 2008 – 7:23 am

Welcome to Make Me Laugh Monday where the whole point is ha ha ha with a bit of hee hee and even some LOL if you’re lucky. Let’s get this show on the road.

When we were in California a few weeks back, I spent far too much time laughing to myself about some of the signs that we encountered.

Like this one, for instance, which I immediately declared to be our new motto.

Or this one, which is admittedly rather obvious and yet still makes me laugh.

So then of course I had to go searching the Internet for other funny signs. Like this one, because we Americans need to have it spelled out.

And this one, which leads me to believe that Captain Obvious has found a new job as a sign writer.

For this last one, I like to imagine a befuddled general, scratching his head and muttering, “I just can’t figure out how everyone keeps finding our secret bunker!”

Here’s the deal if you want to join in.
Write about something funny. It can be an anecdote, a joke, a picture, or a link to something funny… whatever. This is a NO PRESSURE scenario. If it makes you chuckle, it’s good enough. I don’t mean to create a stressful IS IT FUNNY ENOUGH type situation, if you know what I’m sayin’. Anyone can participate.

So you write the post. Then come and link it here so that we can all enjoy the funniness.

If you participate, here’s the code to get the fabulous donkey graphic shown above;

And I should think it goes without saying but JUST IN CASE… any links that don’t go to a Make Me Laugh post on your blog will be deleted, promptly.

And one more thing… several of us read these entries with a child sitting in our lap. Please use an exclamation point at the beginning of your link title if it’s not suitable for young eyes. Happy Monday!

If you’re reading this post in an email, you’ll have to click here to see the other Make Me Laugh Monday entries.

This is the first time I participated and the first time I embedded a video (it wasn’t easy with dial up and all)
It could be considered offensive, and I posted it as such.
I’m just hoping I’m not the only one perverted enough to think it’s funny!

I have one up the road from me, made by our county road department that says “Caution: Squirrel Crossing”

    Seriously. Waste taxpayers money much?

Love yours about road being wet when it’s raining. DUH.

Funny signs! I get kick out of the warnings on labels - my all-time favorite is the warning on a can of Planter’s Peanuts - Warning: contains peanuts.

I would SO follow that sign to the secret bunker, because it’s SECRET, and I’m all about discovering the unknown. Especially when it’s underground.

I’m not about the laughs today as I’ve got a decision to make that is weighing heavily.

However, if someone made up an obvious SIGN (like the secret bunker or wet roads) my decision would be totally easier.

    And maybe funny.

We love goofy signs. But we’re into the “international” people, so the realistic guy falling down the cliff needs to be photoshopped. Hahahaha!
I did find one a couple of months ago about tsunamis…Huh?

Was it Letterman back in the day that would do crazy sign day?

    Thanks for the laugh!

    Nice!

I think I need some of those around my neighborhood. People don’t get the rain idea.
