It’s not that easy being green.

I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but being GREEN is all the rage.
And I’m sure we’re all thinking it’s about time!
(except for those of us who are thinking “Huh? Green?”)
(and except for those other people who whisper things like”global warming MY FOOT… that’s about as real as The Loch Ness Monster.”)
But I believe in the Loch Ness Monster… don’t you?
Ok, I digress.
I’ll never forget when Jay and I were having the whole “green” conversation with a friend of ours when she surprised us by throwing her arms up in despair and announcing,
“I want to be green but I just don’t know how. So I end up just going around unplugging stuff.”
Personally I think she hit the nail on the head. Getting green is OVERWHELMING. There’s so much to know… so much to do… so much to NOT do… Where do you start? Isn’t it awfully expensive? And let’s be honest, we still have lives to lead.
This is why I am oh-so-very-jumping-up-and-down excited about what I’m about to tell you.
We at Seattle Mom Blogs are hosting a Countdown to Earth Day blogathon extravaganza.
This is for those of us bloggers who feel that we could be a bit greener. From now until Earth Day (yes, it’s just a week!) we will post daily about things we’re doing… big or small… or even teeny-tiny to make our lives greener. Then we’ll add our links to the list over at Seattle Mom Blogs so that we can have a big old green love-fest of joy and greeniness (not to be confused with weaniness) and delight.
We’ll motivate and inspire each other. We might even learn something. What’s not to love?
Oh, and the giveaways! Did I mention the giveaways? A Method gift basket… gDiapers… Gorgeously Green… and MORE! Each day we’ll feature a giveaway, a green tip… links to your tips and posts…
I can’t STAND it I’m so excited.

Let’s see if we can make this old earth just a little bit greener.

I’d love for you to share a link to this post on my blog (http://www.goodiesformom.com) under my post “Share Your Thoughts for a Greener World”. We are having an Earth Day Celebration through 4/22 trying to help bring green to everyday people. This would be a great addition.

I love me some Kermit.
I just went out and bought a whole bunch of cleaning supplies that were enviromentally friendly.
I didn’t think they would work but they are fantastic!
