At last…

Jay: Did you hear it snowed in Seattle yesterday?

Me: Suckers.

Jay: Ha ha. Glad we’re not there…


That’s right, we’ve been in the land of sunshine, golf, and silicon. Palm Springs. (that’s our own personal pool there in the background)

CJ has turned into a child of the water.


Love, love, LOVE the desert!

Also I have a new boyfriend (I think he was drawn by my double-chin). He’s a little prickly but oh-so-tough…
As you read this, we’re sadly winging our way home. I’d have told you sooner, but I prefer to keep the nefarious sneaking sorts in the dark. If they’ll steal my content, who knows what else they might steal if they knew our house was standing empty!
(I apologize if this revelation is, erm, anticlimactic. I never dreamed how creative you could be when guessing my BIG EXCITING secret!)

    Hey! And we’re in Arizona right now. Although it’s super windy here so we’re inside hanging out with our friends.
    We had to drive through that nasty Seattle snow on Friday to get to the airport. I didn’t know if we were going to make it (over the passes that is). Hope you had a good trip!

    Ahhh…Palm Springs! The perfect time of year to visit! We tend to go in July when it’s 425 degrees during the day.

    I’d love to know how you liked it as a family vacation. Friends are considering that area. I always think of it for golfers, although if my kid had a pool, she’d be happy for weeks….
