December 12, 2007 – 4:40 pmWe’re in the kitchen when Jay takes a York Peppermint Pattie from the bag and starts to unwrap it.
Me: Aha! Helping yourself to a little morsel of holiday cheer, are ya?
Jay: Well I thought I’d better have one before they’re ALL GONE. (he raises an eyebrow and looks at me pointedly)
Me: Geesh! Do you have to be SO RUDE?
Jay: Well you’re eating them like they’re going out of style.*
Me: (dramatically) I don’t know why I expect anything else. You’re always rude, lately.
Jay: I am NOT!
Me: You are TOO!
Jay: Am NOT!
Me: ARE TOO!
Jay: (pauses, and then) Well, I guess I could have more of a filter on what comes out of my mouth.
Me: Yeah. Like a MUZZLE.
*I don’t know why, but I CANNOT GET ENOUGH York Peppermint Patties lately. I want to eat them ALL THE TIME! They are so delicious with the chocolate and the mint and the ooooohhhh I wish I had one RIGHT NOW!

I don’t know if you ever eat at Burger King (because I can’t fallow you 24 hours a day) but they have a York Peppermint Patty Pie right now. It’s not too shabby if you like drive-through pie.

Sounds like something my hubby would say except with the way my hormones are right now he knows better. It would be a crying “I am not fat, I am pregnant. Why do you pick on what I eat” moment that just wouldn’t be worth his little rude comment.

York Peppermint Patties… mmmm. My all time favorite candy! A bag lasts… oh, maybe a day in our house! And that’s if my hubby doesn’t know they’re there!

I had the very same first thought as Le Binky Bitch!!!
I do love the peppermint patties myself - I am not a fan of most chocolate here (I still keep eating it though, you know, to see if it’s improved any *ahem*), but the peppermint patties rock my world, too. Imagine them made into hot chocolate???
