I have a fridge full of turkey, a counter weighed down by potatoes, and a checklist FULL of to-do’s.
Having never cooked a turkey before, I’m not entirely sure about how it’s done. I know there’s something about pulling out the insides (eww!) and another thing about stuffing it with things that you later eat (double eww!). The rest I’ll be making up as I go along.
People are showing up tomorrow expecting food, and I’ve been sitting at my computer playing Solitaire. Denial? Maybe just a little.
See you on the other side of Thanksgiving!
Gobble gobble.

Ply your guests with enough wine and beer and anything will taste good; even the original insides of the turkey, should you happen to miss any. Which you won’t. Well, probably won’t.
Happy Thanksgiving!

My friend, who is cooking for 22 people tomorrow (including us) has never done a turkey either.
She’s draping it with bacon.
Which makes me think no one will notice if anything goes awry, because — BACON!
So glad I only have to bring a few sides and dessert. No pressure. No frantic last-minute cleaning.
Happy Thanksgiving! I’m sure the bird will turn out great.

It’ll be fine. Just make sure your guests have lots of wine before dinner and they’ll never know if it isn’t perfect! :)
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving Jenny!

I cooked my first turkey yesterday. I didn’t realize there was two packets that needed to be removed. I only removed one. Fortunately, the turkey was fine and we didn’t have to call the fire department.

The first time I cooked a turkey, my sister and I decided to get the gross inside stuff out by turning it upside down and shaking it over the sink. I realize I’m a little late with my way awesome Thanksgiving tip, but it TOTALLY WORKED.
