I’m comfortably perched in an easy chair when I see him, advancing on me with a determined expression, a yellow sheet of puffy stickers clutched in his hand.
Warily, I set my drink down.
He climbs into my lap.
“CJ? What are you doing?” I ask him.
He is quiet… focused… carefully peeling off stickers and affixing them to my cheek.
Then he says, “Mommy, I’m making you lovely.”

Gorgeous! I have twin five year old boys and I too have had stickers/paint/makeup applied in a rather unusual yet beautiful way. You are a good mama.
