100 things
May 5, 2007 – 3:30 pmDid you know that on your 100th post you’re supposed to do a list of 100 things about you? I didn’t! But I figured it out, just BARELY in time for my 100th post. So here it is, ladies & gents, possibly the longest, most boring post of ALL TIME.
- I love…
- reading
- writing
- but NOT arithmetic
- singing loud and off-key
- getting my groove on to bad music (but only if no one’s watching)
- sunny days in Seattle
- fall
- freshly fallen snow
- What a wonderful world by Louis Armstrong
- coffee with cream
- New York city
- flying first class
- jazz
- musicals
- the sound of the ocean
- hotel sheets
- dark chocolate
- Ashton Kutcher
- Harrison Ford as Indiana Jones
- a really amazing steak
- Target
- jumping in cold water on a hot day
- new experiences
- getting up early
- sleeping in
- a clean house
- I don’t LOVE (or even like):
- cleaning
- sitting still
- cantaloupe
- herbal tea
- runny eggs
- Escalades
- rain
- Thomas Kinkade
- Walmart
- driving at night
- touching raw meat
- being wrong
- The things that REALLY bug me are:
- videos and books that are clearly propaganda
- fake people
- fake body parts
- fake cheese
- possums
- milk in my coffee (YUCK!)
- bad drivers
- Kevin Costner
- Matthew McConaughey
- close-minded people
- waiting in line
- mosquitos
- stretch marks
- politicians
- people who don’t pick up their dog poop
- Some other interesting (or not) facts…
- There are some towns that I would refuse to live in because of their NAMES
- …like Sequim (pronounced “skwim”) and Tukwila
- I am a realist…
- but secretly love romance
- I leap to rash judgments based on first impressions…
- which are frequently wrong

- but am always open to a better argument
- I was a debater in high school…
- and still am, really
- I am very competitive…
- but pretty good at hiding it
- I really enjoy sports…
- but am not that good at them
- I battle insomnia and anxiety…
- which is probably why I blog
- I’m not a touchy-feely person…
- except with my husband and son, who I kiss and hug till they gag
- People often call me…
- Down-to-earth
- Easy-going
- with self-depracating sense of humor
- Confident
- Self-assured
- (the other stuff is behind my back and will not be reported here)
- Other useless trivia:
- I doodle incessently
- When I start organizing, it gets obsessive and out-of-control
- I was born in Alaska
- I’m a capricorn
- I’m the oldest child
- I have one younger sister
- I’m an INTJ
- I will be 30 in January, and am really looking forward to it
- I’m at a transitional point in my life…
- I wish I had an accent
- I think people with accents are smarter and more attractive
- I still feel sad about Princess Diana
- I really, really hope to be a millionaire in the not-so-distant future
- The news frequently bores me
- I prefer fiction to non-fiction
- when I feel very strong emotion, I get a shooting, tingling sensation in my right pinky finger. (really)
- I hope some day to have another child.
Whew! Talk about a lot of work! Now that you know 100 things about me… well, I just hope you don’t unsubscribe.

I wouldn’t want to live in Tukwila either. And Everett has way too many e’s and t’s for me.

I love posts like these! I forgot to put in mine I’m not a coffee drinker, makes me gag even though I love the smell. And when I finally meet you, I will be hugging you, deal with it! :P
Btw- bloggers, insomnia, anxiety, dark chocolate…Seems common, no? Maybe writers are all insecure people who like to indulge ourselves to make us feel better?

Is it a particular accent that you think is intelligent? Or all of them? Because I have a southern accent and I could call you up so you can hear me talk and impress you with how I gots the smarts real good.

Great list … I love reading these kinds of posts.
I also hate touching raw meat but do love a good steak.
Not a fan of Matthew McConaughey’s either. He’s an arrogant fool and his grooming habits sound a little sketchy.
Princess Di’s death still saddens me too … I will never forget hearing about that. It was the night before my wedding and when Hubby told me the news, I just couldn’t believe it.

Happy 100th post! I loved your approach to it.
I don’t like fake body parts.
I am not a fan of Wal-Hud.
My birthday is in January, although I already turned 30 in 2006.
I hope you are able to have more children!
