Mommy’s laptop is the cure
April 1, 2007 – 3:22 amI can’t believe it. We just barely recovered from the last nasty cold, and here it is again. This time, hitting all three of us. As CJ likes to shout whenever he doesn’t get his way… THAT’S NOT FAIR!
Fortunately we’ve finally come up with a way to keep a sick kid entertained… let him play computer games on mommy’s laptop (the current favorite is Peggle)! Ok, Jay gets the credit for this one. And I’m sure it’ll come back to bite us once CJ is healthy and convinced that he needs to spend his time on the computer… but for now it’s working, so we’ll cross that bridge when we come to it.
Funny how quickly a 3 1/2 year old can learn to drive a mouse when I’ve known some 50-somethings who took years to reach novice level!
And… this is totally off-topic but, what do you do for a cough? We’ve tried: propping up the bed, humidifier (hot AND cold), tea with honey…
Are there any remedies that you’ve found that work especially well?? If so, please share! We’re looking forward (with dread) to another long night.

Yep, I’m beginning to wish my kids had their own computer. Or better yet, I had a lap top and they could have this desktop! Then there would be no arguing over who gets it when.

Oops..forgot to comment on the cough. Other than OTC meds, I got nothing. It sucks when everyone is sick. Get better soon!

I think the next expensive “toy” you will be buying CJ is his own computer so you can have yours back!!!
I got nothing on helping with a cough other than what you are already doing. Sorry.

That really sucks that you’re all sick again. The laptop is a great idea to keep your little guy busy though.
I wish I could help more with the cough, but the best I can tell you is to keep doing what you’re doing. Robitussin works well too.
