The Spice Girls incident

February 6, 2007 – 8:09 pm

It’s amazing how fast children go from toddlers to opinionated PEOPLE.

Just the other day, I was listening to my “Exercise” playlist (upbeat music selected to get me MOVING) rather loudly when the song “Tell me what you want, what you really really want” by the Spice Girls came on. CJ walked over to the stereo and shut it off, announcing matter-of-factly, “You’re NOT listening to it.”

Seriously? He was fine with the rest of my music, but somehow the Spice Girls just pushed him over the edge.

Well, at least it appears that in developing his own opinions, he somehow managed to acquire a taste in music that is superior to mine! Will wonders never cease.
