The holidays are over… already?!
January 4, 2007 – 4:06 pmHard to believe that Christmas and New Year’s have come and gone. Now all we have to look forward to is… well… summer! With some long rainy months in-between.
This year seemed especially good. We feel so fortunate to have such amazing family nearby to share in this time of the year!
This year’s highlights:
- Searching for a Christmas tree for 3 hours with 3 surly children in the backseat on the day before Christmas eve b/c someone WHO WILL REMAIN UNAMED waited to the last minute to buy it… (hint: buy your Christmas tree BEFORE the day before Christmas eve!)
- Christmas Eve at my in-laws’… great food, excellent games, and a fun gift exchange!
- Small blessings (i.e. the kids waited till 7am to wake us up Christmas morning… not 5am like last year!)
- Mom & Dad’s visit… complete with really great gifts (A remote-control Hummer for a 3 year old? Was I that naughty as a child that I deserve this?!) and home-made lefsa.
- And, perhaps the biggest highlight of all… amazing work on our front porch! Hurray! Our house no longer looks like a trailer!
