I walked into Starbucks yesterday to get an afternoon dose of caffeination and… right into Christmas! Well, it is getting dark at an unreasonably early hour; I guess the holidays must be right around the corner!
Fa la la la la… wait! That means holiday shopping! So I’ve decided that THIS YEAR I’m going to follow through on LAST YEAR’s (and the year before) excellent plan. I’m going to plan early, order online, and take advantage of all those free shipping offers before it’s too late! It’s a perfect plan really, enabling me to skip the holiday shopping mania. I’ll calmly sit at my computer and order the perfect item for each person on my list (purchases will all be within my budget, of course)… all while sipping a latte. What could be better?
So, as a first step, I’m posting two sites that I just discovered, which seems to have great potential for making my vision come true. Gifts.com — with a Personality-based gift finder. You select the age and type of the person you’re buying for, and wah-la, as if by magic pages of treasures appear. Now why didn’t I think of that? Second is Surprise.com, which has a similar premise. Lots of pointers to hand-picked gifts for specific types of people.
