Disney’s Incredibles on Ice: An easy way to blow $50+

November 5, 2006 – 4:54 am

“Well, that was an expensive trip to Everett.” Jay said.

From the backseat CJ piped in with, “I do like it!” Yeah right.

Disney on Ice, The Incredibles showing in Everett. What could be a better way to spend a Saturday evening with our 3-year old son? Jay’s brother and sister-in-law even drove down with their kids to meet us. The tickets were pricey ($18 each for the CHEAP SEATS) but it would be WORTH it.

So… we drove the 30 minutes to Everett, parked (love the free street parking!), bought CJ a snow cone ($10!), then found our seats.

The lights dimmed, the audience cheered, and out came the skaters.

That’s when it all fell apart. The music blasted and CJ threw his hands over his ears, where they remained firmly pressed until we finally relented and took him out of that horrifying place.

And that was it. 15 minutes… and we were on our way home. So, my take-away would be…
“No more shows for at least a year, until he’s ready.” That was Jay, but of course he’s right.

And the show? Well, let me put it this way… neither Jay or I was too disappointed to be leaving. Despite the big names(Disney, Pixar), when you look closely, it’s really just some bad costumes on skaters who are, well, let’s face it… just going around and around in circles.
